Give us a shout: Volunteer, Advertise, Sponsor, Attend, submit a film!

If you're interested in attending the festival, sponsoring the festival, advertising at the festival or would like more information about the London Lesbian Film Festival you can reach us via email: shout@llff.ca

Or maybe you're a film maker and you'd like to send along a film for us to consider.

Located in London, Ontario, Canada the London Lesbian Film Festive celebrated 20 successful seasons in April 2010/11. This 3-day festival is organized by a diverse group of lesbian, bisexual and queer women, the Reeling Spinsters, volunteers who provide this celebratory gathering at which we project our images, challenge our politics, and reflect upon our lives. The London Lesbian Film Festival aims to portray the richness and diversity of lesbian experiences and to strengthen our communities. All films must have lesbian content.

Interested in Volunteering?

The festival launched in 1992 to an enthusiastic audience and has continued to flourish. Our festival is 100% volunteer run.

What can you expect? We begin preparing for the next festival in September. The initial months involve attending a monthly meeting, however the frequency of those meetings increase as the festival date approaches. There are 5 committees to choose from: film, finance, revenue & marketing, events, creative. You would be expected to join one of the committees. And of course, there is a lot of work and fun that happens in preparation for and during the festival weekend. Anyone interested in helping out during the festival weekend must have also participated throughout the year.

The time commitment depends on what you can offer and which volunteer opportunities interest you. If you only have a few hours a month, you could choose to attend meetings, rate movies, hang posters. If you have a bit more time to commit , sell ads, enter movie rating results or help out with grant writing.

The benefits? You will meet many interesting women, see great movies, attend the festival for free and have lots of fun.
