2002 – Reel Visibility

May 3-5

After only 1 year’s experience as a Reeling Spinster, Kerry Kearns takes over the helm and brings the 11th Annual Lesbain Film Festival back to the downtown core to Rainbow Cinemas. Twenty-nine films were shown including First Down by Lynn Molnar (originally from London). At the other end of the spectrum, was Hand on the Pulse, a poignant story of Joan Nestle, political and sexual “bad girl” and co-founder of the Lesbian Herstory Archives in New York City. The woman’s dance, presented jointly by Womyn in Motion and the Reeling Spinsters, was a lot of fun and DJ Cass helped us celebrate another year of lesbian film. In our eleventh year, we built on the successes of the past and carried on.

Sorry, nothing found.
